- Drinks reception:
- Wedding Breakfast

Day after celebrations
We'd love to keep the celebrations going and see you again the next day on Saturday 15th May!
Join us from 3pm onwards at The Royal Steamer in Chelmsford for a wedding debrief and drinks with the newly married couple. Everyone is very welcome.
The pub is just a 3-minute walk from Chelmsford train station, making it easy to pop by even if you're heading back to London that day.
How do I get to Braxted Park?
Braxted Park is accessible by car and is approximately 15–20 minutes from Chelmsford. We recommend using Google Maps or Waze, simply search Braxted Park.
If you're planning to get a taxi, we strongly recommend booking in advance, especially for the end of the night.
- Fareway Taxis Chelmsford - 01245 355 555, bookings@farewaytaxis.com
- Chelmsford Taxi Cab 24/7 - 01245526171, Chelmsfordtaxicab247@gmail.com
- HappiCabs - download the app (it's our version of Uber, you can pre order)
If you're travelling from London, the easiest route is to take a train to Chelmsford station. From there:
- There is a taxi rank directly outside the station (at the rear exit), or
- Alternatively, the bus station taxi rank is just a 1-minute walk away
The journey from Chelmsford station to Braxted Park takes around 15–20 minutes by taxi.
Is there parking available?
Yes! There is free on-site parking available at the venue.
Will transport be provided?
No: Guests will need to arrange their own travel to and from the venue, but taxis are readily available (see taxi information in How do I get to Braxted Park above).
Is accommodation provided?
No: We've listed a few great options nearby on our website on the Accommodation tab to suit different budgets. We recommend you book as soon as possible as hotels in the area can fill up quickly.
What is the dress code?
Our dress code is suits and ties for men and cocktail attire for women.
Think English country garden, relaxed elegance, beautiful pops of colours, and something you feel great in!
A quick note on colour: our bridesmaids will be wearing yellow, so we kindly ask that guests avoid wearing this shade.
Ladies, as the ceremony will take place outdoors in the garden at a country house, please choose your footwear accordingly, if opting for heels, we recommend chunky styles or heel stoppers due to the grass, with flats or wedges being a great (and comfortable!) alternative.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
If the weather is kind to us, we'll be hosting both the ceremony and drinks reception outdoors in the gardens, making the most of the beautiful surroundings.
That said, we all know what English weather can be like, so we have a full indoor backup plan ready in case of rain or colder temperatures.
We recommend coming prepared:
- Sunglasses if the sun is shining
- A jacket or shawl for later in the day if it gets cooler
Can I bring a plus one?
Due to limited numbers, we're only able to accommodate guests who are named on the invitation. If you have been given a plus-one, this will be clearly indicated, thank you so much for understanding.
Do you have a gift registry?
Your presence at our wedding truly is the greatest gift we could ask for.
However, if you would like to give something, a contribution towards our honeymoon and starting married life together would mean so much to us. You can find more details and the link here: [INSERT LINK].
Can I take photos on the day?
We'd love for you to take photos throughout the day, but we kindly ask that you keep phones away during the ceremony so we can fully enjoy the moment together.
Our wonderful photographer, Sophie, will be capturing everything, so there's no need to worry about missing anything. We'll be sure to share a link to the professional photos with you after the wedding.
